East Yorkshire is a natural wonder, home to scenic dales, dramatic cliffs, glorious stretches of coastline and majestic mountains. But these beauty spots are not the only highlight. The region is also famous for its delicious culinary scene. Whether you’re travelling from Manchester, Middlesborough or York and are looking for places to enjoy a great meal, below we’ve shortlisted some of the best restaurants and pubs across the county.

The Parisi Restaurant

Found in Ulrome, the Parisi restaurant offers a cosy atmosphere a stone’s throw from the East Yorkshire coastline. You can enjoy a drink in the lounge before dinner and take advantage of the excellent local food.

Pipe and Glass

Awarded a Michelin star in 2010 and named ‘The Good Pub Guide’s National Dining Pub of the Year’ in 2015, Pipe and Glass is one of Beverly’s must-goes, offering an ever-changing menu. Be sure to try the Yorkshire lamb and the North Sea dressed crab. Alternatively, you can opt for one of their vegetarian dishes, such as baked field mushrooms and chestnut risotto.

Ogino

If you love Japanese food, you’ve come to the right place. Ogino serves traditional Japanese dishes with an added twist and off-the-wall presentations. The Westwood Restaurant

Simple but flavourful dishes are on the agenda at this restaurant. This Michelin-starred venue is located in Beverley and serves locally sourced food in a laid-back environment. Be sure to try the ‘Porter & Black’ ox cheek or the Stone Bass cooked ‘a la plancha’, and finish off with a drink at the W Bar.

Whites Restaurant

Located in the heart of Beverley, Whites Restaurant opened in 2008 and is run by Chef Patron John Robinson. He aims at showcasing local produce and honour the art of making everything onsite. There are two fixed menus available for different prices, one including nine courses and the other four. And if you love the food so much you want to take it home, you can also purchase some of their ingredients.

Leo’z

Fancy a taste of Italy? Leo’z is the place to be. Found in Bridlington, this informal restaurant offers a wide range of pasta dishes, including tagliatelle and linguine, as well as pizzas and garlic breads.
