Nearby in Penicuik, Beeslack Community High School and Penicuik High School provide secondary education, while for higher education, the University of Edinburgh’s Easter Bush Campus is located on the edge of Roslin.

  Roslin offers a range of amenities for residents, from the Rosslyn Bowling Club to historic sites like the Roslin Gunpowder Factory and Rosslyn Castle. For families, there’s the Roslin Play Park for children. The village also has a couple of local pubs, a medical practice, a post office and a few convenience stores. If you need larger supermarkets, they’re just a short commute away in Penicuik and Loanhead.
