Yate New Homes FAQ

  • While it may be ideal for Bristol workers who are looking for more space than they’ll find in the city’s centre, there’s so much more to love about Yate than its transport links. You can read on for more details about what makes this town great, while you should head over to our latest offers page for information on popular schemes like the Part Exchange scheme.
  • Yate is full of great ways to spend your time, especially if you enjoy going for relaxing strolls or playing a round of golf. There are a number of local courses where you can practice your swing among pleasant countryside, while Kingsgate Park is close to the centre of town and home to a children’s playground, as well as a charming lake.

The natural spaces get bigger and better the further out of town you go, with West Country Water Park a real highlight of the local area. Overscourt Woods and Lower Woods are perfect spots for peaceful walks in atmospheric settings, while Wapley Bushes, Little Stoke Park, Acton Court and Kingswood Abbey are also spots worth a visit.

  • Yate has a strong selection of schools rated as good by Ofsted, with local primaries including Broadway Infant School, Ridge Junior School and St Mary’s CoE. Culverhill School and Wellesley Primary are also rated good, while secondary options include Yate Academy and Brimsham Green School, which is just to the north west of town.
  • Yate train station is just off Badminton Road and offers services into Bristol which take just 20 minutes. It’s under half an hour to Gloucester, and a touch longer than that to places like Swindon and Bath. If you have a car, Yate is quite close to the M4 and M5, giving you excellent access to the national motorway network.
  • Yate and the Bristol area have been a property hotspot in recent years, with the local market significantly outperforming the national one. You can usually find a good selection of houses available for sale in town, including our contemporary 3 and 4 bedroom homes off Leechpool Way within Ladden Garden Village. These properties won't be around for long, so give us a call today to discuss your purchase. And don't forget to ask us about arrangements like our Movemaker scheme when you do.
