Bridgwater has several family attractions, such as the award-winning Court Farm Country Park.
Now in its 25th year, kids will delight at finding their way out of the maize maze, climbing aboard a tractor ride through the fields and meeting the friendly animals on the 108-acre working farm. The play area features trampolines, skyways, sandpits and castles.
Time out in lovely surroundings can be found at Somerset Gardens at Hestercombe, a short drive away in Taunton. A magnificent 50 acres of land showcases lakes, terraces, cascades, temples and trails in this display of three centuries of garden design. The award-winning visitors area offers options for a little light refreshment, while at the heart of the gardens sits the watermill complex, featuring the historic use of renewable energy within the original working mill machinery.
The impressive Cheddar Gorge and Caves can be reached in just over half an hour by road. The dramatic cliffs tower above the surrounding landscape at an incredible 450ft and are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Revealing secrets of the past and our ancient ancestors from prehistoric times, the area is also an international centre for caving and rock climbing. The gorgeous stalactite caverns can also be explored and makes a great day out for families, and history and nature enthusiasts.

Bridgwater is situated between two junctions of the M5 motorway. Bristol and Exeter can both be reached in just over 50 minutes, while London is reachable in three hours.
Bridgwater railway station is on the main railway lines between Bristol and Taunton. Trains are available to many parts of the country. London can be reached in just under three hours, Birmingham in two hours 40 and Manchester in four hours 40.
The closest international airport to Bridgwater is Bristol. A number of domestic flights are available here, along with flights to destinations across the globe.
