  • Yate is full of great ways to spend your time, especially if you enjoy going for relaxing strolls or playing a round of golf. There are a number of local courses where you can practice your swing among pleasant countryside, while Kingsgate Park is close to the centre of town and home to a children’s playground, as well as a charming lake. 

    The natural spaces get bigger and better the further out of town you go, with West Country Water Park a real highlight of the local area. Overscourt Woods and Lower Woods are perfect spots for peaceful walks in atmospheric settings, while Wapley Bushes, Little Stoke Park, Acton Court and Kingswood Abbey are also spots worth a visit.

If you have a car, Yate is quite close to the M4 and M5, giving you excellent access to the national motorway network.
