Sports fans will be pleased to know that both the Oaks Golf Course and Kingswood Golf & Country Club are close by. The All England Tennis club is just a few miles away in nearby Wimbledon.


For families planning on making the move to Hackbridge, it’s great to know there are several sought-after schools in the area. Wallington County Grammar School, St. Mary’s RC Junior School, Link Primary School, and Bandon Hill Primary School, have all been recognised as outstanding in recent Ofsted inspections.

For older children planning on studying for a degree, London is less than half an hour away by train, ensuring all the higher education establishments in the capital will be in commuting distance from your new home in Hackbridge.

Getting to Hackbridge

Commuters living in Hackbridge can journey into the capital from Hackbridge Station. Located in Travelcard Zone 4, it is served by both Southern and Thameslink lines with stops at London Victoria, London St. Pancras, and London Blackfriars. Residents of Hackbridge living in the north of the area, may find that Mitcham Junction is closer, which is again in Zone 4, and on the same line.

If you’re visiting family and friends by road, Brighton can be reached in just over an hour, Southampton in just under two, Reading in 90 minutes and Oxford in around two hours.

When the time comes to enjoy a well-earned holiday, London Gatwick is 40 minutes away.
