Aurie

We have a great team at The Mounts.  We asked our Sales Adviser, Jill what she loves most about working here;

'We're in such a great location, just a 10 minute walk from town and the views are lovely.  My favourite home is the Avondale.  It's got lots of space and I love the kitchen with the breakfast bar - it's the perfect place to chat with friends over a cup tea.'

Aurie is our award-winning Site Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be happy to talk you through the build schedule here at The Mounts.

Evenings and weekends

Enjoying the fresh air

Dearnford Lake is perfect for a spot of dog walking, a gentle stroll or even a swim in the open waters.  And if your children love to explore, visit one of the many woodland walks at Greenfields Nature Reserve.

Eating out

There are some great places to eat in the town centre. The popular Black Bear pub serves fabulous food - booking is essential!  And take in the rustic charm and classic Italian food at Etzio on the High Street. There are also a number of great coffee shops including Cafe Bon Sol and Peppermint Cream Tea and Coffee Shop.

Things to see and do

Spend the afternoon at Whitchurch Heritage Centre with plenty of interesting artefacts on display and entrance is free.  Explore Beeston Castle in Tarporley, famous for its spectacular views. The town has a lively events calender - enjoy watching a play at the Talbot Theatre or browse around the Farmers market - there's always plenty to do.

Live the life

Whitchurch is the oldest market town in North Shropshire and jam packed with charm and character.  In its centre you'll find a mix of high street shops and independent boutiques and there's plenty of cafes to grab a coffee and a piece of cake.  Buy locally produced goods from Bradbury Bros butchers, enjoy a coffee at Benjamin's Cafe & Deli, or visit the monthly Farmer's Market for home-grown delights.  And to help you unwind, pop over to Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa or enjoy acres of parkland with your children at Whitchurch Waterways Country Park and the Sandstone Trail.

They’ll help find the best buy-to-let investment mortgages, as well as offering guidance on tax and portfolio planning. Most can also meet you at a time and place that’s convenient for you.

Letting Agents

The right agent can make investing much easier. We have strong relationships with reliable local letting agents who will help you achieve the best rental rates for your property. We can also help negotiate management fees and commission rates so you get the best deal.

Legal Advice

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for DWH and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded the 5 Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live. Our properties offer great local amenities and facilities, and are close to major transport links. People like living in David Wilson homes – which makes them great investments.

The buying process

Buying a home follows a set process. Here’s a quick overview, but don’t worry if it seems complicated – our team will be happy to answer any questions you have.

View our detailed guide for more information on the process

Find a solicitor

You’ll need a solicitor that specialises in conveyance to look after all the paperwork. We can put you in touch with one if needs be.

Arrange your mortgage

There are plenty of options to consider when it comes to a mortgage. Once you’ve done your research (or spoken to a mortgage adviser – again, we can put you in touch if you like), you should seek an agreement in principle.

Get a valuation and survey

Your mortgage lender will want confirmation the home is worth what you’re paying for it. They’ll organise the valuation for you – this will involve a fee.

Complete legal work

Your solicitor will look after this for you. It’s all about formally transferring ownership from us to you, and checking there are no legal obstacles in the way.

Exchange contracts

Once the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with us. This is when you pay your deposit and commit to the deal taking place.

Complete and move in

On the date of completion, you become the legal owner of your new home. Collect the keys and make yourself comfy!
