The historic city of Chester can be reached by road in around 50 minutes. Here you can explore the ancient Roman walls, discover the lovely cathedral and enjoy shopping in one of the many shops. When evening falls, there are various restaurants, cafes and bars. 

Chester Zoo is another attraction in the area, and great for a family day out. With over 12000 animals and 400 different species, there’s something for everyone, while the newly opened islands attraction is worth visiting too.

Education

The surrounding area has several schools offering families lots of choice, while those looking to go on to higher education are also well served.

The University of Manchester and the University of Liverpool can both be reached by road in around an hour.

Transport links

Stapeley has great transport links.

For those arriving by car, the town can be reached by the M6, while Crewe railway station is a major transport hub, offering services to locations around the UK.  It can be reached in less than 15 minutes by road, and from here you can get a train to London in one hour and 39 minutes, Liverpool in 36 minutes and Manchester in 38 minutes.

If you’re travelling by air, Manchester Airport can be reached in less than an hour. From here services operate to a number of destinations both domestic and international.
