Whippingham offers great links to the rest of the Island. There are good road and bus links and the Island's ferry terminals are a short distance away. The chain ferry to Cowes runs daily from nearby East Cowes.
Just outside the development, you will find a bus service that runs regularly to Ryde, Osborne House and East Cowes where you can travel on the floating bridge via foot or car to West Cowes.

From the Isle of Wight, the mainland ports of Southampton, Lymington and Portsmouth can be accessed by vehicle ferries, high speed catamarans and hovercraft. The Island is served by three main operators: Hovertravel, Red Funnel and Wightlink.

For the active amongst you, Medina leisure centre has a 25m swimming pool, teaching pools as well as a sports hall and 60-station gym. You can also find the local theatre there, which hosts a number of performances throughout the year including plays, live music, comedy and dance.
