New Homes in Bournemouth

Make the Move

With seven miles of golden sand, Bournemouth is one of the UK’s favourite seaside destinations.

A new home in Bournemouth will allow you to get a real work-life balance, where hitting the beach after a hard day at the office is the norm. Weekends in Bournemouth are all about getting out and about and soaking up the many attractions the town has to offer.

Things to see and do

Bournemouth is becoming famous for the many high-quality festivals it hosts throughout the year. The Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival takes place in June and is a celebration of all things food, from oysters and Champagne to wood-fired pizza.

Bournemouth Wheels Festival held on the seafront in May is the UK’s largest free wheels-themed event, showcasing everything from supercars to BMX stunts. Meanwhile, Bournemouth Air Festival held in August is internationally renowned and the biggest of its kind in the world. It features flying displays, impressive jets and entertainment across four days.

Bournemouth is also a shopper’s paradise. Vintage boutiques and independent shops can be found in the vintage quarter on Christchurch Road in Pokesdown, the ideal spot to pick up a one-off item or unusual gift. The town also has all the usual high street favourites and several department stores.

It’s all about beach life in Bournemouth so pick up your towel and get ready to bask. The bay’s unique position means it enjoys its own microclimate, and has some of the warmest sea temperatures in the UK.

The town’s central beaches feature sea-front attractions, a historic pier and several restaurants and cafes, while Southbourne beach has a blue flag award. For those with four-legged friends, dog-friendly beaches can be explored at Fisherman’s Walk, Alum Chine and Middle Chine.

Bournemouth also showcases no less than 2,000 acres of parks and gardens.

The town centre’s Victorian gardens are split into three areas. The Lower, Middle and Upper Gardens are Listed Grade II and you can experience a beautiful tranquil walk from the seafront. Enjoy an array of beautiful plants and flowers from around the world, along with events and attractions throughout the year at the Lower Gardens.

Further afield and easily accessible from Bournemouth, the beautiful area of Dorset can be explored. The New Forest National Park, Stonehenge and Salisbury are further options.

Education

The town is home to Bournemouth University which offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
