Things to see and do in Melksham


Melksham has an enviable location in the midst of the Cotswolds, the North Wessex Downs and Cranbourne Chase. This gives you brilliant access to wide open natural spaces, perfect for going on long hikes, dog walks, runs and bike rides. Green Lane Wood and Clanger Wood are also close to town, while the 90-hectare Spye Park is a few miles north east.

Transport links in Melksham


Melksham train station is just off the A350 in the north of town, and offers a selection of Great Western Railway services. There are local bus routes you can take advantage of, while the A350 heads north to the M4 motorway. You won’t need this to get to Bath, which is less than half an hour’s drive away, but you can use it to get to Bristol a touch further west.
