Things to see and do 

Churchinford’s roots lie in farming. The village offers local shops for all your daily essentials, along with a 16th century inn where you can unwind. The weekly farmers’ market, held every Saturday, allows you to get your hands on lovely local produce. 

Filled with wildlife, Otterhead Lakes Nature Reserve located around a mile away in the Blackdown Hills offers an ideal picnic spot. Lovely nature trails and wooded areas offer walkers plenty of choice, while others may like to take part in forest crafts. 

The market town of Honiton is around 10 miles away, providing a gateway to Devon. A great choice if you fancy some retail therapy options include Belvadere Retail Park close to the town centre, St Johns Retail Park just off Toneway and Priory Fields Retail Park.

From here you can easily reach the national parks of Dartmore and Exmoor, and can enjoy walks along the dramatic coast.

Transport links 

Despite its rural location, Churchinford has good transport links and you can easily reach the surrounding areas, as well as travelling further afield. 

Churchinford is situated off the B3170, approximately seven miles south of Taunton and three miles north of the A303. Travelling to Taunton will connect you with the M5 motorway at junctions 25, along with giving you easy access to major roads such as the A38 and A358.

The nearest large railway station is Taunton which is located on the route from London to Penzance. It’s operated by First Great Western, and is also served by CrossCountry trains and the West Somerset Railway.

The nearest airport is Bristol Airport and can be reached in around one hour and 20 minutes. Here you’ll find a variety of flights both domestic and international.
