A quick history
Stone Age and Roman artefacts have been discovered in Bushey, but the first written account of the town was in the Domesday Book when it was described as a small wooded village. According to folk tales, Bushey was once rife with highway robbers as they could hide unnoticed in the woods.

Since then, it has grown into a popular commuter town. Bushey has been home to a number of famous residents over the decades, including George Michael who went to school in Bushey, and Simon Le Bon who was born in the town.
