Your 5 year warranty from David Wilson covers:
- Internal/External drainage systems
- Boundary brick walls
- Renewable energy insulation (if fitted)
- Sanitary ware
- Shower doors
- Central heating system and any fires
- Hot and cold plumbing system
- Electrical system
- Internal and external doors
Exclusions from your cover:
- Garden landscaping
- Gates and fencing
- Carpets and floor coverings
- Wear and tear
- Neglect and failure to maintain
- Your own alterations
- Wilful damage
We build to the highest standards
The structure, foundations and roofing of your home are also covered for 10 years by the NHBC Buildmark Warranty.

David Wilson Homes: The 5 Star House Builder
As part of the Barratt Development group David Wilson Homes has been awarded^ the House Builder Federation 5 Star status nationwide.
For six years running we’ve been awarded^ the highest rating for customer satisfaction, which means that at least 90% of the customers who completed the survey, would recommend us to a friend.
What is the HBF star rating scheme?
Each year, the HBF awards home builders a star rating, based on feedback from an independent customer satisfaction survey covering the 12 months from 1 October to 30 September
The National New Homes Survey, sent to owners of new homes 8 weeks after completion, is designed to help buyers make informed decisions, raise customer satisfaction levels and encourage excellence across the industry.
Operated by NHBC it is entirely independent and awards a rating of one to five based on the answer to the question: ‘Would you recommend your builder to a friend?’ And ‘How satisfied are you with the quality of your new home?’
Ratings are awarded as follows:
5 star 90% or more of homeowners* must be prepared to recommend their builder to a friend.
4 star 80% or more of homeowners* must be prepared to recommend their builder to a friend.
3 star 70% or more of homeowners* must be prepared to recommend their builder to a friend.
2 star 60% or more of homeowners* must be prepared to recommend their builder to a friend.
1 star 50% or more of homeowners* must be prepared to recommend their builder to a friend.
*The percentage is based on the number of valid responses received.

The HBF Star Rating Scheme is open to HBF members who typically build more than 300 homes per annum. It is a voluntary scheme so only those builders who opt to participate will be star rated.
And with the Customer Service Charter, you can be assured that Barratt cares as much about giving you great customer service, as we do about delivering superior build quality.
