The arts
Nottingham boasts two popular theatres, as well as a number of music venues. From the Capital FM Arena hosting international artists, to the Royal Concert Hall’s ballets and orchestras and Rock City, popular with new and local bands – you’ll find something for you.
Museums and galleries
For culture vultures Nottingham offers a range of museums and galleries, including Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery, Nottingham Castle, the Galleries of Justice and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre.
Getting outdoors
Nottinghamshire has a number of country parks, National Trust properties and outdoor adventure centres to keep the family occupied. With Sherwood Forest on the doorstep, there’s always somewhere to take the dog, or head out for a family picnic.
Wet and wild
If you're a true water baby or just want to try your hand at something new, visit the National Water Sports Centre at nearby Holme Pierrepont where you can take part in canoeing, kayaking, sailing and water skiing.
