Essentials on your doorstep

Mountsorrel village centre has a good selection of day-to-day essentials including a hair salon, several takeaways and cafés.

There’s also a primary school and leisure centre, both in the village. For everyday shopping, there's a small Co-op convenience store close to Parker's Place and a larger Budgens supermarket a short drive away.

The build so far

We received planning permission for the 46 new homes at Parker’s Place in April 2011 and our construction team started working on the site the following month. There is now only one home remaining here - please enquire at our Quorn development for more information.

A fantastic location

The village centre has a friendly feel with a good range of traditional shops and convenience stores inviting you in. There’s a local farm shop stocking delicious meat and dairy produce, hair salons and a post office close to the central village green. For a relaxed life, there are also tea rooms and pubs dotted around the village and a great selection of take away food for lazy evenings.

Mountsorrel is conveniently situated just off the A6, making this an ideal location if you’re commuting to Leicester or Loughborough. The A46 is only a few minutes drive too, providing easy access to the M1 and M69. The village is served by regular bus services which take you to Leicester and Loughborough, where you can catch direct trains to London.

The buying process

Buying a home follows a set process. Here’s a quick overview, but don’t worry if it seems complicated – our team will be happy to answer any questions you have.

View our detailed guide for more information on the process

Find a solicitor

You’ll need a solicitor that specialises in conveyance to look after all the paperwork. We can put you in touch with one if needs be.

Arrange your mortgage

There are plenty of options to consider when it comes to a mortgage. Once you’ve done your research (or spoken to a mortgage adviser – again, we can put you in touch if you like), you should seek an agreement in principle.

Get a valuation and survey

Your mortgage lender will want confirmation the home is worth what you’re paying for it. They’ll organise the valuation for you – this will involve a fee.

Complete legal work

You solicitor will look after this for you. It’s all about formally transferring ownership from us to you, and checking there are no legal obstacles in the way.

Exchange contracts

Once the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with us. This is when you pay your deposit and commit to the deal taking place.

Complete and move in

On the date of completion, you become the legal owner of your new home. Collect the keys and make yourself comfy!
