Thundersley is located within a vibrant area in southeast Essex. Neighbouring Hadleigh achieved international exposure in 2012 when it hosted the Olympic mountain biking events. Hadleigh’s ruined castle, a Grade 1-listed building, was also the subject of a famous painting by John Constable.
