If you’re looking for a livelier scene, it’s still only a short hop to Derby in the north and Tamworth to the south, thanks to the excellent road network close by. Church Gresley takes its name from the ancient church of St George and St Mary which still stands today.

Church Gresley is a truly rural village, but it’s still close to the towns of Swadlincote and Burton-upon-Trent, where you can catch the train to London, Derby, Birmingham, Nottingham and beyond. Castle Heights is a short drive from the A444 which links directly to the M42, taking you straight to Birmingham.
