Superior design

Countryside living

Tree lined footpaths and cycle ways create a tranquil boulevard through the centre of Castle Heights, away from hustle and bustle of the development’s roads. There are views over to the local nature reserve, bringing home a sense of country living.

A village community

Footpaths link Castle Heights to the newly created village centre and to the open spaces dotted around the development. Existing trees and hedges create an established feeling to this new community and separate the homes here from nearby roads.

Essentials on your doorstep

Benefiting from a truly rural location in the heart of the National Forest, yet within easy distance of a number of towns and cities, this idyllic former mining village offers homebuyers the perfect blend of country and urban living.

There is a doctor's surgery and pharmacy on site at Castle Heights as well as a Sainsbury's Local and fish and chip shop for a treat on lazy evenings!

The build so far

Castle Heights is part of a modern community in Church Gresley. We have been building new homes here since March 2000 and have seen many people choosing to stay, moving from their first, to their second and third homes here at Castle Heights.

A fantastic location

Rich in heritage, Church Gresley is located in the middle of the picturesque National Forest yet just a stone’s throw from Swadlincote and six miles from Burton-upon-Trent. If you’re looking for a livelier scene, it’s still only a short hop to Derby in the north and Tamworth to the south, thanks to the excellent road network close by. Church Gresley takes its name from the ancient church of St George and St Mary which still stands today.

Church Gresley is a truly rural village, but it’s still close to the towns of Swadlincote and Burton-upon-Trent, where you can catch the train to London, Derby, Birmingham, Nottingham and beyond. Castle Heights is a short drive from the A444 which links directly to the M42, taking you straight to Birmingham.

The buying process

Buying a home follows a set process. Here’s a quick overview, but don’t worry if it seems complicated – our team will be happy to answer any questions you have.

View our detailed guide for more information on the process

Find a solicitor

You’ll need a solicitor that specialises in conveyance to look after all the paperwork. We can put you in touch with one if needs be.

Arrange your mortgage

There are plenty of options to consider when it comes to a mortgage. Once you’ve done your research (or spoken to a mortgage adviser – again, we can put you in touch if you like), you should seek an agreement in principle.

Get a valuation and survey

Your mortgage lender will want confirmation the home is worth what you’re paying for it. They’ll organise the valuation for you – this will involve a fee.

Complete legal work

You solicitor will look after this for you. It’s all about formally transferring ownership from us to you, and checking there are no legal obstacles in the way.

Exchange contracts

Once the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with us. This is when you pay your deposit and commit to the deal taking place.

Complete and move in

On the date of completion, you become the legal owner of your new home. Collect the keys and make yourself comfy!
