Superior design

At David Wilson we don't build houses, we build homes. Homes that are designed for growing families and modern lifestyles, executives and busy couples. At Marston Park, where you're on the edge of a lovely village and beautiful countryside, we've taken this setting into consideration. We've built homes that fit well with the surroundings, yet are practical and include high specification details throughout.

Essentials on your doorstep

Marston Moretaine has all the essentials to meet your needs from a Co-Op, doctors surgery, post office and a sports club. When it comes to your children's education, Thomas Johnson Lower School, Cranfield CofE Academy were both rated 'Good' in their latest Ofsted report. Wootton Upper School and Kimberley Sixth form are also close by.

The build so far

Construction at this beautiful village has almost come to an end and now only one homeremains for sale. The elegant homes now sit alongside well-thought out landscaped areas. All the foundations are now in for all the homes here. Why not come along and see how this development is taking shape for yourself and discover how you could become part of this growing community.

A fantastic location

If you want to get away from it all, you couldn’t live in a better place than Marston Park. Marston Park borders the beautiful Millennium Country Park. With its children’s activity centre, nature trails, boating lake, pathways and restaurant, it’s an idyllic way to spend a family afternoon. The lovely Marston Moretaine is as picturesque as it is friendly, with restaurants, shops, pubs and sports clubs putting a spring in the village’s step.

Your home in Marston Park is a few seconds from the A421 Cambridge-Oxford varsity route, or join the A1 to the east for access to Peterborough and London. Or just 4.5 miles to the west, link to the M1 for London or Birmingham. Choose between Stewartby or Millbrook stations on the Marston Vale line for trains to Bedford which is on the Midland Main Line from London St Pancras to the East Midlands.  Otherwise, head east to Bletchley on the West Coast Main Line with services between London and Glasgow. You can walk to local shops but Bedford and Milton Keynes will serve your more complex shop requirements and give access to countrywide coach trips.

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for DWH and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded the 5 Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live. Our properties offer great local amenities and facilities, and are close to major transport links. People like living in David Wilson homes – which makes them great investments.

The buying process

Buying a home follows a set process. Here’s a quick overview, but don’t worry if it seems complicated – our team will be happy to answer any questions you have.

View our detailed guide for more information on the process

Find a solicitor

You’ll need a solicitor that specialises in conveyance to look after all the paperwork. We can put you in touch with one if needs be.

Arrange your mortgage

There are plenty of options to consider when it comes to a mortgage. Once you’ve done your research (or spoken to a mortgage adviser – again, we can put you in touch if you like), you should seek an agreement in principle.

Get a valuation and survey

Your mortgage lender will want confirmation the home is worth what you’re paying for it. They’ll organise the valuation for you – this will involve a fee.

Complete legal work

Your solicitor will look after this for you. It’s all about formally transferring ownership from us to you, and checking there are no legal obstacles in the way.

Exchange contracts

Once the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with us. This is when you pay your deposit and commit to the deal taking place.

Complete and move in

On the date of completion, you become the legal owner of your new home. Collect the keys and make yourself comfy!
