Meet the team

Site Manager Steve has been in the construction industry since leaving school. A bricklayer by trade, he became Site Manager by the age of 25. He says 'I love nothing better than dealing with a happy customer'. Sales Advisors Deborah and Amanda have both been with the company for many years and each has won numerous awards for customer care and sales achievement. Deborah has opened a number of new sites within the South Midland Region and has seen many of our customers move into their new homes. Amanda says the most rewarding part of her job is working with the construction site team to turn houses into homes.

Evenings and weekends

Biggleswade may be proud of its rural past. But this is a town with a future too, as shown by recent investment in its facilities.

Local life – The new Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre, health centre and sports clubs are also popular with the locals. As are all the wide range of local pubs, bars and restaurants.

Nice shopping – Biggleswade has a shopping centre which is home to a captivating collection of small independent shops, as well as supermarkets and a library.

You’re close to good schools – such as the Lawnside Lower School, Edward Peake CE Middle School and Stratton Upper School and Community College. All are less than a mile from the Maythorns.

Live the life

A stroll through the picturesque and historic market town of Biggleswade will tell you it has much to offer. You’ll see the Market Square is still the focus for the town centre. Every Saturday morning it bursts into life when the weekly market comes to town. Being minutes from the A1 makes it easy for you to explore other fascinating towns, such as St Neots to the north and Stevenage to the south.

The buying process

Buying a home follows a set process. Here’s a quick overview, but don’t worry if it seems complicated – our team will be happy to answer any questions you have.

View our detailed guide for more information on the process

Find a solicitor

You’ll need a solicitor that specialises in conveyance to look after all the paperwork. We can put you in touch with one if needs be.

Arrange your mortgage

There are plenty of options to consider when it comes to a mortgage. Once you’ve done your research (or spoken to a mortgage adviser – again, we can put you in touch if you like), you should seek an agreement in principle.

Get a valuation and survey

Your mortgage lender will want confirmation the home is worth what you’re paying for it. They’ll organise the valuation for you – this will involve a fee.

Complete legal work

You solicitor will look after this for you. It’s all about formally transferring ownership from us to you, and checking there are no legal obstacles in the way.

Exchange contracts

Once the legal work is complete, your solicitor will exchange contracts with us. This is when you pay your deposit and commit to the deal taking place.

Complete and move in

On the date of completion, you become the legal owner of your new home. Collect the keys and make yourself comfy!
