When Julie and Alex Flanagan decided to relocate to Swindon from Berkshire, they needed to find an affordable property that could cope with the demands of all the family and allow a smooth move.
Luckily, David Wilson Homes’ part-exchange offer at its King’s Gate development in Swindon provided all the answers for a comfortable and confident move.
Julie comments: “We had always liked Swindon and have a lot of family in the area so we decided to relocate. With two teenage sons coming with us, it became all hands on deck to find a home we each liked and that could offer enough space to handle the whole family
“We particularly liked the King’s Gate development as it was situated in a great location, secluded enough to give us some privacy, but close enough to all the great amenities Swindon has to offer.
“We chose a three-storey, three bedroom Trafford home as the layout fulfilled our needs perfectly. The family room on the ground floor means the boys can have friends over or some space to themselves, whilst Alex and I can enjoy a bit of peace and quiet or a glass of wine in the sitting room on the first floor. We can then spend time together catching up as family in the kitchen. This logical layout really gives our home a lovely relaxed feel and ensures all the family can get maximum enjoyment out of it. “
The Flanagan family also took advantage of David Wilson Homes’ part-exchange offer, whereby David Wilson Homes will purchase a buyers existing property in order to allow them to avoid the associated stresses of a property chain.
Julie continues: “Opting into part-exchange was a real added bonus. We were able to sit back and relax in the comforts of our own home without having to worry about some of the instabilities a property chain can involve, this little detail really made a big difference in the ease of our move.”
King’s Gate is situated on the edge of historic Swindon and offers easy access to a host of local attractions as well as a range of pubs restaurants and shops. Located close to the M4 and boasting excellent railway links, King’s Gate is also perfect for commuters.
Julie finishes: “We’re really pleased with our new home and all the family have settled in well. It’s great to be able to call ourselves full-time Swindon residents now!”
